We Remember 04:22
We remember Your grace And your cross embrace All to redeem and to restore You ever live to love We remember your love With hearts of joy As you invite us into your presence Where there is life renewed Chorus: We remember We remember We remember your cross We remember your blood we need no other sign Only believe that we can receive Within the bread and the wine

I was alone and wandering around But with your love now Iʼve been found I was afraid Iʼd never find hope But then you came and led me back home Now I found myself caught in your arms Overwhelmed by a love Iʼd never known You covered me With your blood You erased every sin and stain And you took away my shame You covered me With your blood You erased every sin and stain And you took away my shame You covered me There were times when I thought Iʼd never see The darkness break its hold it had on me I was weak and blinded by my pain But light broke through and won my heart again

Verse 1 On a hill far away, stood an old rugged cross The emblem of suff'ring and shame and I love that old cross where the dearest and best for a world of lost sinners was slain Chorus So I'll cherish the old rugged cross Till my trophies at last I lay down I will cling to the old rugged cross And exchange it some day for a crown For a Crown Verse 2 Oh the old rugged cross so despised by the world Has a wondrous attraction for me for the dear Lamb of God Left His glory above to bear it to dark Calvary Bridge (Ohhh…) (Holy is the Lord God Almighty)
4.
Verse 1 We are one in the Spirit We are one in the Lord We are one in the Spirit We are one in the Lord And we pray that all unity may one day be restored Chorus 1 And they'll know we are Christians By our love by our love Yes they'll know we are Christians By our love Verse 2 We will walk with each other we will walk hand in hand We will walk with each other we will walk hand in hand And together we'll spread the news that God is in our land Verse 4 All praise to the Father from whom all things come And all praise to Christ Jesus His only Son And all praise to the Spirit who makes us one
5.
At The Cross 03:18
Verse 1 Alas and did my Savior bleed And did my Sov'reign die Would He devote that sacred head For sinners such as I Verse 2 Was it for crimes that I have done He groaned upon the tree Amazing pity grace unknown And love beyond degree Chorus 1 At your cross at your cross Where I first saw the light At your cross at your cross Only by faith I received my sight Verse 3 Thus might I hide my blushing face While Calvary's cross appears Dissolve my heart in thankfulness And melt mine eyes to tears Bridge You made me whole (x3)
6.
Verse 1 Before the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea A great High Priest whose name is love Who ever lives and pleads for me Verse 2 When Satan tempts me to despair Telling of evil yet within Upward I look and see Him there Who made an end of all my sin Chorus 1 Because the sinless Saviour died My sinful soul is counted free For God, the Just, is satisfied To look on Him and pardon me Verse 3 Behold Him there! The once slain Lamb My perfect, spotless, Righteousness, The great unchangeable I AM, The King of glory and of grace Chorus 2 One with Himself, I cannot die; My soul is purchased with His blood; My life is hid with Christ on high, With Christ, my Saviour, and my God.

There is power power Wonder working power In the blood of the Lamb There is power power Wonder working power In the precious blood of the Lamb Would you be free From your burden of sin There's power in the blood Power in the blood Would you o'er evil a victory win There's wonderful power in the blood Are you washed in the blood In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb Are your garments spotless Are they white as snow Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb Down at the cross where my Savior died Down where for cleansing from sin I cried There to my heart was the blood applied Glory to His name Glory to His name glory to His name There to my heart was the blood applied Glory to His name Its Glory Glory, hallelujah Since I laid my burdens down Its glory glory, hallelujah Since I laid, my burdens down...

Verse 1 What a Friend we have in Jesus All our sins and griefs to bear What a privilege to carry Ev'rything to God in prayer O what peace we often forfeit O what needless pain we bear All because we do not carry Ev'rything to God in prayer Refrain Oh what a friend Iʼve found, such a lovely friend Iʼve found in Je-sus Verse 2 Have we trials and temptations Is there trouble anywhere We should never be discouraged Take it to the Lord in prayer Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share Jesus knows our ev'ry weakness Take it to the Lord in prayer Verse 3 Are we weak and heavy laden Cumbered with a load of care Precious Savior still our Refuge Take it to the Lord in prayer Do thy friends despise forsake thee Take it to the Lord in prayer In His arms He'll take and shield thee Thou wilt find a solace there

There Is A Fountain Verse 1 There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Immanuel's veins And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains Lose all their guilty stains Lose all their guilty stains And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains Verse 2 Dear dying Lamb Thy precious blood Shall never lose its power Till all the ransomed church of God Be saved to sin no more Be saved to sin no more Be saved to sin no more Till all the ransomed church of God Be saved to sin no more Verse 3 E'er since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply Redeeming love has been my theme And shall be till I die And shall be till I die And shall be till I die Redeeming love has been my theme And shall be till I die

Be Near Me 03:24
Be Near me oh Lord Be Near me oh Lord Be near me as I travel on I know not what lies ahead for me Be Near me as I travel on As I step out on this Journeyʼs path My hope is all I have Iʼll stand in faith firm and secure Be near me as I travel on Through mountains high and valleys low Through forests and streams of Gold Temptations charms surrounds me now Be near me as I travel on The end is near itʼs now in sight My journey is almost through Have I my Lord done what is right Be near me as I travel on

about

This album started earlier this year, as two things began to happen.

1). I started to rearrange alot of hymns and gospel songs to use in corporate worship times at my church (Calvary Baptist).

2). I started to realize that I continued to use out-dated, archaic language to describe what I do by stating which songs or performances were 'Sacred' and which were 'Secular'.

Growing up, I learned that some things were 'Secular' and therefore not to be trusted, or learned, and that some things were 'Sacred' and therefore the only thing that was worth understanding. What I have come to believe now is that nothing stands divided by the line between 'Sacred' and 'Secular' because as Bell puts it... 'Everything is Spiritual'...

this means that whether I am playing a sacred song, or performing at a 'secular' venue, it's all worthy to be an act of worship to God. Not that I am comparing myself to the great composers like Bach or Handel, but I join in their sentiment that all that I compose/sing/write/perform is in fact 'To and For the Glory of God'...

'The line between' is in fact a misnomer. There is no line. But yet we still like to think so, so I created an album that will come in two parts. Part I 'The Line Between-Sacred' is an album consisting of re-imagined hymns, re-arranged gospel standards, and some original forms of both. Part II 'The Line Between-Secular' which has yet to be recorded (hopefully in the spring of 2012) will be an album consisting of 10 brand new tracks and possibly 2-3 previously recorded cuts.

This album was produced by Blake Paul and Jared Salte, Engineered by Jared Salte, and was recorded, mixed and Mastered in Sherwood Park, AB at Salt Shaker Studios.
